Each year UNSW has a number of scholarships and awards available to support UNSW coursework students undertaking an overseas Exchange Program (outbound Exchange). Scholarships and awards are intended to assist with the costs of studying overseas, and are awarded across a range of areas.
University students from partner universities (inbound Exchange) or who are participating in the Study Abroad program at UNSW (inbound Exchange), should contact the Study Abroad and Exchange team for information on available scholarships and awards.

ACADEMIC MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS & AWARDS THAT DO NOT REQUIRE AN APPLICATIONEligible UNSW students participating in an Official Exchange Program in 2023 are not required to submit an application for the awards listed in this section. Eligible students will be automatically considered for these awards.
Offers for these awards will be made to eligible students on a competitive basis using your Weighted Average Mark (WAM). You do not need to submit any specific scholarship application or additional supporting documentation to be considered.

| Faculty of Science BSc (International) Exchange Travel Award (UGTR1026) | $2,000 one-off lump sum payment | Meet the eligibility criteria for an Official UNSW Exchange Program; and, Have been accepted by an Official UNSW Exchange Program overseas partner institution and accepted the offer; and, Be enrolled in the Bachelor of Science (International) (3987) program. |
| UNSW Student Exchange Engineering Award (UGTR1049) | $2,000 one-off lump sum payment | Meet the eligibility criteria for an Official UNSW Exchange Program; and, Have been accepted by an Official UNSW Exchange Program overseas partner institution and accepted the offer; and, Be enrolled in a UNSW coursework program offered by the Faculty of Engineering. |
| Arts & Social Sciences Southeast Asia Travel Award (PUTR1011) | $10,000 one-off lump sum payment | Meet the eligibility criteria for an Official UNSW Exchange Program; and, Have been accepted by an Official UNSW Exchange Program overseas partner institution in Southeast Asia and accepted the offer; and, Be enrolled in a program offered by the School of Arts & Media, the School of Education, the School of Humanities & Languages, or the School of Social Sciences. |

To be considered for the following, applicants must have completed a UAC Equity Scholarship (ES) application for 2022-23 and be a UNSW student participating in an Official Exchange Program in 2023. Eligible students with a 2022-23 UAC Equity Scholarship application will be automatically considered for these awards.

Demonstrate at least one disadvantage through a UAC Equity Scholarship (ES) application. |
