The Prize was established in 2018 in is funded by the Pacific Lawyers’ Association. The Association aims to promote and conduct research on any issue of relevance to Pacific lawyers and Pacific peoples, and to promote the education of Pacific law students.
The main purpose of the Prize is to recognise and reward the best piece of writing on an issue relating to Pacific people by a student of Pacific heritage.
