The Scholarship was established in 2019 and is funded by a bequest from Michael Redshaw, an alumnus of the School of Music at Waipapa Taumata Rau University of Auckland.
The main purpose of the Scholarship is to support postgraduate students in the School of Music at Waipapa Taumata Rau University of Auckland who are undertaking research in Music, with a particular focus on historical performance involving early keyboard instruments.
