The Prize was established in 2015 and is given in memory of Judge Avinash Deobhakta by his daughter, Kavita Deobhakta BA LLB (Hons) and his son-in- law, Sadesh Natali BHSc PGD (HSc).
The main purpose of the Prize is to recognise and reward the student achieving the best grade in Criminal Procedure.
