The English Language Bridging Program (ELBP) Start Now Scholarship has been established to encourage and support international students from the regions of South East Asia, South Asia, and Africa to study ELBP plus Undergraduate or Postgraduate programs with the University of Newcastle (Australia).

The ELBP Start Now Scholarship will be available to eligible international students commencing their ELBP in 2023.

Required documents will be listed on the ‘Your Documents’ page of your application. The application portal accepts PDF only. A maximum of 3 PDF smaller than 5 MB can be added per document type upload field.

The scholarship benefit is payable as a tuition fee waiver for the ELBP duration listed on the scholar’s letter of offer.

For Region 2 the ELBP tuition will be $421 per week for 2023 (after a reduction of approximately 15%) which will be applied directly to the recipient’s Student Account at the beginning of each relevant ELBP session.

No application is required for this scholarship.

Eligibility for this scholarship will be assessed alongside your application for admission to the University of Newcastle and you may be automatically awarded this scholarship.

Scholarships will be awarded where criteria are met and the quota has not been exceeded. Where funding permits, English Language Pathways will aim to support all eligible scholars.

English Language Pathways reserves the right not to award a scholarship.
