This Prize was established in 1983 by the Faculty of Medicine and Human Biology as a tribute to the memory of the late David William Pullar who, as Academic Registrar of the University of Auckland and subsequently as the Registrar, was closely concerned with the establishment of the School of Medicine and the conduct of its courses.
