  • Further details

Alan Hayes Davidson was a pioneer in architectural visualisation, founding Hayes Davidson in 1989, becoming one of the most highly regarded and established visualisation companies in the world. He strongly believed in the ethos that good collaborative visualisation helped good architecture come to life – an ethos that continues through the work of the studio. In 2012, Alan was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease and created the Alan Davidson Foundation in 2015. This scholarship, sponsored by the Alan Davidson Foundation, was inaugurated in 2021. “Alan was a great believer in education and one of his final wishes was to support a student through university to study architectural visualisation. The £10,000 scholarship is awarded annually to a home-student showing great promise and talent.”

The scholarship is open to Home applicants for the MA Architectural Visualisation course; the successful applicant will be selected on the basis of academic excellence, artistic ability, and their communication skills. There will be one scholarship awarded to an applicant starting the course in September 2023.
