The Prize was established in 2003 and is financed by 3M Littmann.

The main purpose of the Prize is to recognise the top student performance in the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) of the Professional and Clinical Skills 2 module (PCS2) of the MBChB Part III.
